Volunteer at CESAR’s Tax Clinic which will be held between March 19 until April 5. Any student can apply to volunteer!

Volunteering at CESAR’s Tax Clinic is a great way to increase your tax knowledge, and receive a free training from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Plus, you will receive a certificate from the CRA after the training!

Volunteer at CESAR’s Tax clinic in two quick steps:

  1. Apply online for an E-file number from the CRA. This is a requirement to volunteer, and it takes 30 days to process so please apply for an E-File number no later than Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 5p.m.

  1. E-mail taxclinic@mycesar.ca by Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 5p.m. You do not have to have your E-File number ready-you can email us before you receive it, just email us to indicate your interest in volunteering at the tax clinic.

Your Tax Clinic volunteer hours can count towards CESAR’s volunteer program hours and rewards. You can find out more information here.

CESAR’s annual Tax Clinic provides an opportunity for students to file their taxes, free of charge, with the assistance of volunteers in partnership with the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP). The clinic is open to all Ryerson students on campus.

Tax Clinic appointments are available from March 19 until April 5. Students can book their appointments online starting Monday, March 5, 2018.
